Love to Let Go!

Sarah aimed her long stem glass at him, but instead, it hit the floor crashing into multiple pieces.

She could see her slivered heart in each of those broken fragments as she wept uncontrollably.

He looked from a distance but dared not to come near.

Minutes ticked by, which seemed endless to both.

“Go, Live your way!”

“Thank you” he squealed and exited the room with a flying kiss at her.

‘Love is to Let Go!’ Sarah muttered as she wiped her tears and got up to clean the mess while her beau traveled continents to live his passion.

A noun called Love

Once upon a time, there was a pea size planet. Sure, there was life on this celestial body since when I looked from Earth with a Celestron CPC 1100 GPS (XLT) 280mm f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope I could see two hands, two legs, a head and lots of hair. But, given the state these so-called humans existed, it made me very curious. Thus I continued to zoom through my telescope day and night to observe their peculiar habits. I would call them zombies. They minded their own business as I could not see any activity amongst them except them wandering from one place to another.

After 24 hours I found their life boring since these so-called humans had nothing exciting going on. They were mostly by themselves. They always had a frown on their forehead and a sneer over their lips, and that made me thank the planet Earth that I lived upon!

Thank goodness we knew about love, adoration, and affection. Even though we have a thing called newspaper that comes each morning that gives off 'news' that makes me always bitter as I swear after reading through it, but in spite of that we give out vibes of caring, compassion in the society that we live in as we carry it around wherever we go.

Love is what's making the world go around even though our planet is tilted!
The vibrations in the universe give life to Newton's theory of gravity thus making us steady and grounded.

We all have a universe around us. This world is your immediate family, your friends, your neighbors. It's this adoration. The fondness that makes the heart flutter, and the hand and the feet go an extra mile to do something for the other person. This person could be your immediate family or even your neighbor or a friend. But those vibes are so infectious that it gets caught on immediately.
Sure, love has many forms.  But just the little stretch of the muscles around the lips, the extension of one's hand towards somebody especially when in adversity, a compassionate hug are just mere expressions to show that you care.

Honestly, I would not like anything if love did not exist in me or around me!

Forget the chocolates.
The ice-cream.
All the delicious food the chefs on this planet have invented or put together.
 The lush and green surroundings.
The chirps of the birds.
The wind chimes giving off that melodious music when the wind passes by!
The blue sky that resonates peace and calmness.
The tall trees that sway from left to right as if humming a song.
The music created by human artists that span from rock n roll to jazz to classical and contemporary.
The magnificent feeling of a hug.

What would life be without love?
We too would be roaming like the people on the pea planet. Thankfully, our world has this noun in abundance so, let's pat our back and enjoy the above ten things since they make our lives so much to be cherished for!

Mantra for today: Love is life! Give and you shall receive!

Lancinating Love

"Be Ready!" came the command and the phone hung up.

Henna raised her eyebrows to avoid those tears falling as she got up angrily to get dressed and look her best.

The dress was already chosen.

She had no choice thus picked up the matching nail color and with music in the background, she kept practicing her smiles.

Hair and makeup were done in a jiffy since it was the natural act.
Nail color well etched in her nails. She pulled on the dress while eyeing the clock.
Just then she heard the door bell ring. At first, she trembled and quivered. Took a deep breath, pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, and froze.

Looked frantically for that piece of jewelry that defined their marriage; her ring. Wore it, and greeted her man, who scanned her from top to bottom, while extending a cold hand towards her.

"Be your best." he demanded as they drove to the destination.

She nodded obediently while fidgeting with her band, "Hmm... The choices I have made!" she muttered with moist eyes while keeping a pleasant face.

Soon the car stopped.
The couple was blinded with shutterbugs clicking from every angle.
She resisted at first, but after getting a nudge from her partner smiled and waved to the enthusiastic crowd.
The smiles she wore helped dull the sharp, stinging, knifelike pain she received from her love since they got into this union.

Love and Passion

Sarah aimed her glass at him, but instead it hit the table crashing to the floor into multiple pieces. She could see her heart in each of those broken fragments as she wept uncontrollably.

He looked from a distance but dared not come near.

Minutes ticked by, which seemed endless to both the individuals.

"Go, live your way!" she announced

"Thank you" he squealed and exited the room with a flying kiss to her.

Sarah took a deep breath and got up to clean the mess while her beau made a journey across continents to live off his passion.

Reversal of roles..

On 14th of February,  St. Valentine is commemorated in the name of courtly love. Little did the Romans realize that the world will celebrate that date with grandeur and glory.

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.
Charles M. Schulz

This day observes second biggest celebration after Christmas where sales of greeting cards reach a record height since couples express their affection, fondness, and yearning for each other.

Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another.
Thomas Merton

Love, compassion is at its peak on this particular day.

The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along.
Rumi

How did it happen that their lips came together? How does it happen that birds sing, that snow melts, that the rose unfolds, that the dawn whitens behind the stark shapes of trees on the quivering summit of the hill? A kiss, and all was said.
Victor Hugo

In order to make it a special day, couples either choose to dine out, find the most exquisite spots or ideas to romance just to make it unique.

I think a role reversal can also help create a magnificent evening. He cooks, cleans, and serves while she gets the bouquet, the booze, light the fragrant candles, select the background music, and then after dinner swirl on the dance floor hand in hand while taking him down memory lane with pictures clicked over the years or just everyday incidents.

Let's be frank, we are living in a male dominant society, and giving charge to your spouse/better half/ mate/ partner for one day to make the choice for an evening that she would desire could tell a lot about you! While you get to plan the meals and know how to execute it on the table. Voila! Impression and memories are made.

“It takes four men to dress a salad: a wise man for the salt, a madman for the pepper, a miser for the vinegar, and a spendthrift for the oil.”
anonymous
As it takes two to tango, the Valentina and Valentino can continue to enjoy this date that is centuries old thus helping them highlight their gray strands, which could be fifty or more cause of the stress a relationship could endeavor. The above action could bring a particular closeness when trying to wear each other's shoes thus leading to enjoying the actual fifty shades of grey in unison!

An ordinary evening that started with humble understanding, just to make it a memorable day, can make the couple touch or reach many avenues in their relationship. Understanding, Longanimity are some of the nouns that get into the grey cells of the couple, as they reminisce about their past while promising to make a bright future for themselves.

Mantra for today: Love is a gift that requires a barter of caring, affection.

Love for mankind

Imagine yourself walking on a lonely street in broad daylight; it sure would give you the creeps!
But the same street if inhabited by a few other humans, even though you don't know them; you are quite comfortable and continue to tread upon your journey!

Man is a social animal, and even though we are not acquainted with those million faces, we are just comfortable around their company.

As a kid, I was surrounded by tons of such familiar and unfamiliar faces. All the credit goes to my dad!

Result: I never really got the time to be mindful of my actions cause they were right there, anywhere I would turn left or right...they would be next to me telling me of my faults or appreciating my milestones.
Sure, it used to get overwhelming when I needed my space especially as a teen, but then my father would repeatedly advice about humanity and its various benedictions.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Mahatma Gandhi

His faith in mankind and relationships was numero uno!

He used to go out of his way to help his family when in need, did not even spare a dime when it came to his friends in need. His belief was that the humanity needed love and compassion, or else we would go extinct thus, always stressed on helping when in need!

He was such a loving soul that prior to departing from his body; he handed out bills to those who aided him in the hospital while he was bedridden cause of his stage 4 Prostate Cancer diagnosis.

A Generous Heart, Kind Speech And A Life Of Service and compassion are a few things that renew humanity.
Dalai Lama

His belief in humanity was actually too much for me to handle, in fact overwhelming but then when I saw the number of people turn up at his funeral...it was alarming, and then to top it all listen to all their stories of how just this one soul impacted them...was mind-blowing that gives me goosebumps, till date!

Mantra for today: Love the human race since you are one of them!

Wordless Wednesday #56

A charcoal drawing of a mother holding her baby!

Just a mere sketch, but speaks a thousand words that symbolize love, care, tenderness, and a yearning that never fades away!

Mantra for today: “A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.”

My Infatuations!

FTSF is here.

Today's sentence is: I used to love a bunch of things, but with age & circumstances many things changed.

As a teenager, I used to love watching television, listening to music, gossiping, and sleeping. But with time my love affair with the above fizzled.

When I started work; I loved shopping, and sleeping was still in my agenda. Unfortunately, this also lasted temporary due to a shift in priorities.

“Age does not make us childish as some say; it finds us true children.”
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Then came marriage when life was an adventure at each step as we were discovering each other in all aspects. I remember during weekends we would stay awake till 1am and go for grocery shopping or go to the movies. Sleeping at 5am, and waking up not until dusk. Indulging in junk food, and partying like crazy. Weekends consisted of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Parenthood:  That state of being better chaperoned than you were before marriage.  ~Marcelene Cox

When we became parents, things changed around drastically. Priorities were set, and what we loved was history.

Yes, having a child is surely the most beautifully irrational act that two people in love can commit.  ~Bill Cosby, Fatherhood

As we are aging, our priorities are shifting focus. This has resulted in changes within us. This change is good and shows our character. It shows how trustworthy, accountable and mature we could be. The chronicle of events that take place in our lives is left as memories as you age.

Mantra for today: Fond memories tend to stick with us like magnets.

What is the significance of a wedding ring?

Humans fall under many categories with respect to commitment and spending life together, and how they define their love and integrity towards each other, is priceless.

A ring and some vows keep the integrity of a couple.

The above makes them spend years together and rely on each other as they grieve and dance to the tunes of life.

Amazing!

However, this same ring and vows mean nothing for some individuals. The uprightness of virtues go missing and vanish into thin air as the hearts go astray with other bodies.

The bottom line towards honesty with each other lies in the consciousness, and how an individual allows people to walk over it. Some people are unaware and take their relationship for granted thus, the rise of infidelity.

There are some who do not need a ring to stay faithful to their partner. However, they stay loyal to their better halves and the vows they recited when tying the knot.

Question for you: Does man need reminders to stay faithful or his consciousness is enough to prick him when he goes astray?

My 2 cents
Being human is another form of consciousness. Do not let that awareness die within you. It is like dying before the body gives up!

Mantra for today: Your consciousness is the gateway to freedom of all sorrows. Keep those gates open 24/7.

Is there LIFE without LOVE?

Life is precious. We all utter this sentence when low in spirits.

However, there are a few who get carried away with emotions and let their mind get hijacked by hormones.

Result: They end their life on a miserable note.

Recently a Bollywood actress who had fame and glory; gave up her life when her heart did not meet expectations with her lover.

I agree that since humans are social animals. We need love, affection in our lives, but to end one's life over this issue is not commendable.

The moment we are born; our body starts walking to the grave by continuous cell divisions. Since our anatomy is already going in that direction, there are chances that the hormones can take over our mind and intelligence, and make a human do such an act.

However, to be in the moment and learning to survive and proclaim our sorrows is the key to survival and learn to live our life even without love!

Mantra for today: Let not LOVE become more important than LIFE.

An Act of Love

Love has no boundaries or rules.

Usually when man marries woman, woman changes her last name, and they live happily ever after.

But surprisingly, Adam comes into the world. He marries Eve and decides to change his last name similar to Eve's last name.

Surprised?

I was too, and so was the local government and accused him of fraud.

Such Adams hardly exist on this planet, and even if they dare to become one. Society taunts them or slaps them with some kind of fraud.

I hereby raise my voice to the Women Liberation Front and ask for justice. I see male chauvinist hiding behind desks even though we have progressed in abundance; our thinking that man is superior has not changed.

America has yet to have a Female President. History is yet to be created!

Mantra for today:  Women are the creators, and are superior in all aspects.
