Yearn to be Alone?

Lonely

Alone

Lately, I came across these two words and have read the interpretation of many for the above.

There are times when a person is surrounded by people, yet he feels lonely and there have been moments when an individual is alone and yet enjoying life to the fullest!

Both these adjectives have a deeper meaning on their respective platform resulting in a fulfilling motive that have aspired many to venture out and discover their path of comfort.

Although, I have come across people who say that their minds are beautifully programmed, and they can press the mute button and be actually alone and lonely at the same time.

I admire such people!

Practically speaking an individual can never be lonely.

He can be alone, but never be lonely!
Cause if he is lonely, it could be termed as a disease called depression. That's when the mind stops talking to the body, and that would not be good!

A man's mind is such an active machine that keeps churning ideas, thoughts, feelings of some sorts, theories, and viewpoints that he does not really need company if he allows his mind to keep churning.

In both the above adjectives, the mind plays an important role. We just ought to be on the look out and communicate with our consciousness to make a wise decision.

With the current times, man longs to be alone more so to cleanse himself from all sorts of energies that he tends to hook upon. Unfortunately, the negative energy leeches upon and eventually sucks the blood out of if we don't attempt to ponder over a path of just us, being ALONE aka cleansing!

Researchers are finding good results in individuals who yearn to be alone and how it affects their overall health.

Thus, next time don't be afraid to be alone to do something, and you will be surprised by the amount of memories you will make for yourself even if you have no other body to share the moment with.

Mantra for today: Communication between the mind and body is important to enjoy being alone, yet not lonely.

A good investment

"Splash!"

"Toby quit splashing into the puddles" Mom urged as she walked with his tiny hand enclosed in her big palm on a rainy day while holding an umbrella with the other side that covered mostly her toddler inspite of him wearing a rain jacket.

Toby paused for a bit then looked up at her and after a mischievous wink continued to spatter water until they reached their car.

The mom was quick to put her son in his car seat. She removed his boots to check his socks.

"Dry socks!" she sighed in relief then muttered, "Good investment!"

"Maggi!"

No response.

"Can't find the girl anywhere in the house. Aha! Must be on the porch on her old ragged chair." Mom muttered as she stepped towards the patio.

"Cathedra, Alison did not invite me to her b'day party and instead poked fun at my dress."

Maggi whimpered as she caressed the arm of the chair.

"She is not my friend anymore!"

Wiping her tears, "But you will always be my pal since you are here to listen to my pain and joys."

Mom overheard and changed her opinion. She was now in awe of the chair!

Book Spotlight: OTHERNESS: SOULS OF BROWN WOMEN by De.B. Dubois

OTHERNESS: SOULS OF BROWN WOMEN
by

Blurb

Who is the brown woman? How does she live defined almost solely by her skin colour and all the history it carries? How do we carry racism deep within us even when we think we don't? These are questions that require deep thought and reflection, and that's what Otherness encourages us to do. In a world increasingly divided along the lines of colour, despite its apparent modernity, here's a hard look at the realities that lurk within us, both as individuals and as a society.

A disaster within....

Mother Nature has sure been in the news lately!

Hurricanes, Earthquakes
Some of the  'disasters' that man has labeled when mother nature becomes boorish.

That leads to the destruction of property and losses that man has no choice but to kneel and bow thee!

That's when the man looks upon other brethren either for help or guidance or just a helping hand to be able to stand up and be able to walk that path.

Technically the man would be walking alone on this road trying to figure out a way to find the home amidst this destruction, but scientifically he is not alone. His mind will be transmitting hundreds of neurons and as they network it will either give him ideas to overcome this problem, or it would cripple his walk by conveying thoughts that are sheer negative.

Man's body is an incredible machine. He has chosen to build skyscrapers out of it. The seven wonders. This machine has fostered ideas to grow food on this planet, allowed the man to survive the extreme temperatures when Mother Nature wants the spotlight. The list is just unbelievable that I am sure aliens living on other planets would be going green with envy checking out the resume of our achievements in collective.

Our mind and body have done wonders, and no doubt when Mother Nature strikes; it cripples man, but not for long!

We unite. Clean the wreckage and start fresh.

This mind when combines with the respective body is a full proof of our planet earth's progress. But when the mind does not hold hands with that body it has also shown massacres that can make anybody's heart cry with pain and disgust.

Mind, Body are like a beautiful ensemble. Each must be finely tuned, well nourished and maintained to reach its full potential.

A natural disaster would be when the body and the mind's circuit goes loose. There is no connection between them thus leading to a havoc not only in man's surroundings but also within. Unfortunately, we have many examples around the globe that are horrendous, torturous and painful.

We have one body and one mind that is organic, essential and we are nothing without it.

Spotlight and Review of The Royal Roommate by PG Van

THE ROYAL ROOMMATE
by
P.G.Van

Blurb
My purpose in life is to protect you…

Sid is Army strong and sinfully sexy. He is tasked to investigate a woman suspected of having connections with a rebel group. The style of investigation was not his choice, and he is asked to move in as the roommate of the person of interest, Amy.
Amy was thrilled to start her internship in San Francisco and wasn’t expecting a man with rock-solid abs as her roommate. The moment she laid eyes on him, she knew he was bad news.

The attraction was undeniable and they both wondered how long they could hold on to their resolve. Sid didn’t want to sleep with a suspect even if she was wildly beautiful and sexy. Amy wasn’t interested in a fling.

Just when Sid is about close his investigation and declare Amy’s innocence, he finds out something about her that changes everything. She becomes the most important person in his life.

My Review:

The Royal Roommate is a story about a young girl, Amy who has ambitions. Those goals are not for herself but to reach out and help others in need. She is interning as an assistant in a law firm in SFO, and the story starts with her driving to that city. She is portrayed as a carefree and independent person yet cautious of her identity thanks to her dad's strict guidelines. Amidst all the discretion there comes a twist to the story. She gets a male roommate in her SFO apartment who happens to be a secret agent trying to investigate her links with a terrorist group. His looks were enough to get her hooked on him. There is lust. Lots of it. Thus, begins the tale of romance, and a thriller as these two knock each other's breath out not only in the bed but also trying to escape from antagonists that are after the life of Amy.

Secrets are revealed that keeps the reader on the edge as Sid tries to keep his lady love safe and protect her from slaughter and take her to the throne that was empty for decades.

What I missed out was the charm between Amy and Sid. There were lust and lots of intimate scenes, but I missed out on the chemistry between the two. They had nothing in common per se. Sid always wanted to protect her while she enjoyed being in his strong arms.....

What I liked: The twists and the turns with regards to the plot as Amy being declared a royal princess. The research that went into this drama that made the reader also go on a roller coaster ride. The emotions of Amy before and after she was declared a princess. The knitting of a kingdom Edinridge from a chaotic place to a peaceful and happily ever after.

I would rate it 4 stars and would recommend it anyone who enjoys a good well-researched thriller with sensual romance!
